WEBINAR: Learn how to monitor BYOD on your network effectively

Forrester’s latest report on mobile adoption in the enterprise found that 66% of employees now use two or more devices every day, including desktops, laptops, smartphones and tablets. A smaller, but notable 12% percent said they now use tablets at work. That’s still far fewer than the 50% who report only using a desktop, or the 82% who use a desktop alone or alongside other devices.

WEBINAR: Find out what users are doing on your Network

Users interact with the network in many different ways during an average day. They visit websites, send and receive email, download files from the Internet, upload photos and videos, perform online backups, and more. They can also — usually unwittingly — expose the network and themselves to intrusions, malware, viruses, phishing attacks, and other security risks.

Good visibility into user activity on your network can help you to troubleshoot problems when they arise; in many cases, it can help you to anticipate problems and prevent them from arising.

Join NetFort  on December 6th at 15:00 GMT for a webinar presented by Head of Technical Services at NetFort, Darragh Delaney that will give you valuable insight into exactly what users could be doing on your network.

During the webinar, NetFort will show you how to monitor different areas of the network including:

  • Sources of user data
  • Network traffic on the LAN and WAN
  • Internet activity
  • File shares
  • Mobile devices

Register today to reserve your seat.

Webinar Alert! Novell will show you how ZENworks Mobile Management can help you manage BYOD mobile devices

Of all the endpoint devices that IT has had to manage over the years, mobile devices pose the greatest challenge.

A recent survey at the InfoSec 2012 event confirmed that the greatest concern to organisations of the BYOD trend is the risk of employees introducing viruses into the business.

When asked what was the biggest headache posed by the increasing adoption of BYOD (bring your own device) almost half of the respondents highlighted the possible threat of a virus being introduced.

This was followed by 26% expressing concerns at devices being lost, with 22% citing the possibility of employees stealing data.

Interestingly, these figures appear to reflect the worries of all types and sizes of organisation – the study sought the views of 250 IT professionals, with 49% being from organisations of more than 1,000 employees whilst 24% represented businesses with less than 100 employees.

Novell will show you in a webinar on 11th September, how ZENworks Mobile Management makes it possible to manage mobile devices easily, whether those devices are provisioned by corporate or ‘Bring Your Own Device’ (BYOD), that users own themselves—all without adding to your IT overhead or burden.

The interactive webinar will address how to:

• Provision each new device over-the-air (including BYOD devices)
• Manage a wide variety of mobile devices
• Provision devices with the apps, access and data users need—even if they bring their own devices
• Define and enforce security policies
• Encrypt mobile devices to protect against theft or loss and lock out or even wipe the data on lost or stolen devices
• Define and enforce the level of “wipe” authority you have on BYOD devices
• Prevent access to sensitive corporate resources from BYOD users who refuse IT oversight
• Track and report on device and licensing assets
• Report on compliance status
